2012 Dreaming Lke Joplin

“I was having a harder than hell time naming my album. I couldn’t think of anything that tied the musical themes together except that they were all written by me. A few days later, I was playing onstage at a golf tournament and an older gentleman waved to me and asked about my music, very complimentary. I thanked him and turned to grab my gear to pack up and go home, but he grabbed me by the wrist and said “The last time I saw eyes like yours on a performer it was a young lady who came out to the Bay to make a name and her name was Miss Joplin. She had that look in her eyes too. Haven’t seen it since.” It was the a moment I will never forget. I immediately came home and snapped the album cover artwork. I made sure to include my eyes. I make sure daily to never stop dreaming like Miss Joplin…” [This album was recorded in a laundry room filled with paintings of unicorns. Thank you Bailey Smith. ]
